DIY Play Dough

I'm so happy to share with you this small project that has save my day with my toddler a couple of times.

Like any mom, I'm always running out of activities to spend time with my 1 year old.  We're always in the search of new ideas or ways to improve their development. One of my best memories as a kid was the play dough but trying to find one for my kid was kind of complicated as all the brands are suitable for 3 years old and up.

After searching and testing a lot of recipes this one, is the best for us!!

  •  1 Cup of Baby Rice cereal
  •  1 Cup of CornFlour
  •  1/2 Cup of Applesauce
  • 3 Tablespoons of Vegetable Oil
  •  Food Coloring

Let's start mixing the Baby rice and the Cornflour in a bowl. Mix it very well , that will help to have a smooth dough, then add the oil.

At this point you add the coloring, then kneading by hand until is smooth if still sticky add more baby rice cereal or if is dry a few drops of water will be enough.
ET VOILA!!! you now can play with the dough knowing is safe and fun for you baby.
Take in mind that after playing for a while you can't save it, in the moment it gets dry you will have to throw it out.
Wish you have fun time playing with your babies!!
